Take part in Remembrance Day celebrations

Take part in Remembrance Day celebrations Image

We are asking our colleagues and tenants to help mark Remembrance Day this year by sending in pictures wearing a poppy, or showing their best poppy artwork to feature on social media.

Remembrance Day, which is normally celebrated with huge events and marches across the country, takes place on the 11 November and gives the chance for you to show support and remember the men and women who have lost their lives in war.

Along with sharing images and getting involved on social media we will also be lighting Ongo House up red for the whole weekend, in partnership with North Lincolnshire Council and other building in Church Square Scunthorpe. Then on the day we will be observing a full social media silence.

Karen Cowan, our Head of Corporate Services said: “Celebrating Remembrance Day is extremely important to us here at Ongo. We also signed the Armed Forces Covenant, which is a promise to ensure that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.”

Take a look below at pictures from our staff and tenants groups; and don’t forget you can show your support by sending a picture of you wearing a poppy in and tagging us on social media.
