Tech and Talk sessions for tenants

Ongo is offering free sessions to individuals who need support with devices such as smartphones or tablets.

The sessions, taking place monthly until April, will be available as drop-ins for people to come and learn how to browse the internet, use email, social media or apps, such as Ongo’s own My Home app.

The sessions will take place at the following locations, with individuals only needing to attend one:

  • 25 January, 1-3pm, Ongo House
  • 22 February, 1-3pm, The Arc
  • 19 March, 10am-12, Ongo House
  • 25 April, 9:30am-12, The Arc

Individuals should bring their own devices to the sessions, which are open to everyone, including those who need a little, to those who need full support to use functions.

Hayley Sleight, Customer Engagement Officer at Ongo said: “By receiving the support to gain skills in using technology it will enable tenants to live a fulfilling life. Technology is used vastly within the current world, and at times can be the only option that people have to deal with many situations. It will be amazing to see how using their devices to their full potential can change a person’s life.”

No booking is required.

Further sessions may be arranged for later months and in different locations depending on demand.
