From Monday 11 August The Arcafe in Westcliff will open its doors again to customers, after being forced to close through lockdown.

The team has been working hard to put safe ways of working in place including a new one way system with tables re-arranged to allow two metre social distancing, a new menu, and for those dining in, table service. Although hygiene is always top priority and they have a standard of 5, more cleaning measures are now in place too.

The Arcafe has also signed up to the #EatOutHelpOut scheme, meaning they’re offering a 50% discount on food and drink, up to a maximum of £10 per person. (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only from 10-31 August 2020).

Kerry Copson, Community Development Manager said: “We’ve been working hard over the last couple of months to prepare for reopening and to put plans in place to make The Arcafe a safe environment.

“We’re so excited that not only are we able to open back up, but we can do it with the governments fantastic Eat Out to Help Out Scheme. We’d like to say a huge thank you to our customers for their patience, we can’t wait to see you all.”

The Post Office inside The Arc has now extended its hours from 9am to 3pm every Monday-Friday and youth activities, along with support are now being reintroduced slowly and safely.
