We raised over £250 for Comic Relief Image

Our staff and tenants have together, donated a total of £257.70 to this year’s Comic Relief Red Nose Day campaign.

Comic Relief is a charity which helps vulnerable people in the UK and the world’s poorest countries, and their vision is to create a world free from poverty. Red Nose Day, which is their national campaign took place on Friday 9 March, and has raised over £63.5 million this year alone.

The first of our fundraisers was held at our HQ at Church Square, Scunthorpe where staff held a ‘Great Ongo bake off’ competition and dress down day. The same activities then took place at our office on Cole Street, Scunthorpe, and in total both events raised a huge £222.70.

At The Arc in Westcliff, it was all about pizza, crafts and castle making. 24 local children attended on the day, sporting red noses and raising over £34 for a great cause.

Victoria Bradshaw, Events Co-ordinator at The Arc said: “We had a great time raising money for Red Nose Day, it’s a great campaign and one the kids loved getting involved in.

“We’re always happy to raise money for good causes where we can, so keep an eye on our website to see what we’ll be doing next.”
