We take action following anti-social behaviour concerns in Winterton

We have taken swift action to help protect tenants after concerns were raised about serious anti-social and threatening behaviour in one of our Winterton neighbourhoods.

After reports were received from local tenants, our neighbourhoods team quickly investigated the issues, gathered evidence and applied to the courts for legal action. An injunction has now been granted, helping to provide reassurance and protection for those living nearby while further action is considered.

The legal action was secured just days after key evidence was received, highlighting our commitment to acting quickly when residents’ safety or wellbeing is affected.

Dawn Hill, Head of Neighbourhoods, said:“Everyone deserves to feel safe in their home and neighbourhood. When residents raise concerns about serious anti-social behaviour, we listen and take action where the evidence supports it.”

“This case shows our commitment to protecting our communities and using the powers available to us when behaviour is causing distress or fear to others.”

“I’d also like to thank the residents who came forward and worked with us throughout the process. Their support helped us take swift action and achieve a positive outcome for the wider community.”

We are continuing to support tenants in the area and encourage anyone experiencing anti-social behaviour to report it to their neighbourhoods team so concerns can be investigated and dealt with as quickly as possible.

Creating safe, thriving neighbourhoods remains a priority for us, and we will continue working alongside tenants and partner organisations to tackle anti-social behaviour and support our communities.
