Our communities team has recently achieved the national Matrix standard for the second time, for their commitment to supporting people back into employment.

Lasting for three years, the accreditation gives confirmation that we’re delivering a high standard of service to our clients.

The Matrix standard is a unique quality framework for organisations to assess and measure their information, advice and guidance of the services offered to clients in relation to employment support.

An in depth review was carried out, looking at all the services our communities team provide to their clients. The review, carried out by independent assessors included interviews with staff, site visits and a strategy review to assess how the team perform and the results they achieve.

Jan Williams, Head of Community Development, said: “It is absolutely fantastic to have achieved this accreditation for the second time. The whole team involved should be incredibly proud, and it’s brilliant for them to achieve this accreditation to recognise the work they do every day.

“The assessment highlighted how committed the team is to deliver the best service for their clients, and how confident and caring they are in their work.

“There were of course areas that were highlighted that we can improve on, including becoming more celebratory about our achievements, so to offer an event better service, we will now be putting a plan together based on the recommendations given to improve our employment support services even more.”
