The Local Authority Building Control awards (LABC) regional finalists have been announced and three of our developments are in the shortlist at the annual awards event.

The Arc in Westcliff has been shortlisted for Best Community Building, a development built by GS Kelsey Limited, which opened in May 2018 as part of our wider £9million regeneration project.

Two of our housing developments were shortlisted in the Best New Housing Development (up to 10 homes) which were the three Grange Lane South homes built by TG Sowerbys and the four new homes on Henderson Avenue built by Moore Facilities Management.

The LABC awards are the largest business to business awards in the building control sector, and they aim to recognise quality in many different types of building project.

Martin Phillips, Development Manager, said: “We’re delighted to have been shortlisted in three award categories for our work in building new homes and community facilities in North Lincolnshire. The three local contractors we have worked with on these developments produce extremely high quality work and it is brilliant for them to have been recognised in these regional awards.

“Both of the new home developments have been built to such a high standard and they certainly stand out as modern, attractive homes in the area. The Arc is also something to be proud of, with the whole community really getting behind this new building and enjoying everything it has to offer.

The awards take place at Forest Pines on Friday 17 May where the regional winners will be announced. The winners from each region will then battle it out at the grand final national awards which are held in London.
