Ongo Developments

Our Ongo Developments team work hard to build new developments in North Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire, West Lindsey, South Yorkshire and beyond.

Below are some examples of our work:

Myos House

Dementia care scheme - Scunthorpe

  • Cost - £4,400,000
  • 25 specifically dementia tailored apartments
  • Designed with special features to attempt to delay the onset of dementia

Myos House is the only Dementia care scheme of its kind in the region, providing residents a fantastic purpose-built place to call home.

Made up of 25 apartments, shared spaces and beautiful garden areas; Myos House is a one-of-a-kind flagship development.

Built in 2021 and costing £4.4million, it has many features to make the apartments and overall building a safe, welcoming and friendly environment to live. This includes bird and bat boxes, living walls, electrical charging points, and a Building Energy Management system. Working in partnership with Homes England who provided substantial funding, and local authority North Lincolnshire Council on this scheme, a number of jobs were also created. This included apprenticeships for young people to get into the industry too.

Westcliff regeneration project

Strategic regeneration project

  • Cost - £9,000,000
  • 47 buildings
  • Large scale estate regeneration scheme to transform lives

Consisting of 41 brand new homes, five commercial units and a community hub, our Westcliff regeneration project is our biggest transformation to date.

A densely populated housing estate built in the 1950s, there were significant improvements needed on the Westcliff estate in Scunthorpe. It had become dated, run-down and a crime hotspot. This was why we knew we needed to invest time and money into the area, to give it a new lease of life and some much needed vibrancy.

The project cost £9million and was supported by funding from Homes England and Humber LEP, with an additional £650,000 secured from the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner to further improve the safety aspects of the estate.

The project saw us demolish derelict and dated buildings, and replace them with modern, safe and secure homes along with a brand new shopping area with its own car park too.

We can’t forget The Arc either, which is our community hub in the heart of Westcliff which has a café, Post Office, nursery and hosts events and activities and it is somewhere the whole community can enjoy.

Rowland Road

Experienced in mixed tenure sites

  • Cost - £3,900,000
  • 32 homes
  • Environmental features: Sustainably sourced materials and high levels of insulation

We’re experienced in developing mixed tenure sites consisting of affordable rented, shared ownership and rent to buy homes.

This example demonstrates our ability to support people onto the property ladder whilst placemaking and regenerating a former industrial area. Shared ownership and rent to buy are a great addition to a development to allow those without a large deposit saved, to still become homeowners. We’ve seen great success with both schemes so far and we’re keen to build on our portfolio of these in the future.

Our Rowland Road development is made up of 32 two, three and four bedroom family homes consisting of rented, shared ownership and rent to buy, to offer a type of home to suit the needs of the whole community.
