It’s World Mental Health Day: we’re here to support you

Today marks World Mental Health Day, a global initiative dedicated to raising awareness of mental health issues and promoting emotional well-being. This year’s theme: “Overwhelm” – reflects the growing impact of global events and relentless news cycles on our emotional health.
We recognise how important it is to talk about mental health, to look after it, and to seek support when needed. In line with this year’s theme, we want to remind everyone: help is available.
At Ongo, we’re proud to stand with mental health – not just today, but every day. Our commitment to mental health is reflected in the wide range of wellbeing services we offer. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your family, or your relationship, our team of qualified counsellors is here to help. Sessions are affordable, accessible, and designed to get you talking to someone without long waiting times.
Beyond counselling, we also host regular social activities to help people connect and combat isolation. From group walks to fun outings like bowling, boating, visits to Nunnys Farm, and even golf sessions, these events offer a chance to meet new people and enjoy meaningful moments together.
Katie Williams, Lead Mental Health Specialist at Ongo, shared: “We’re proud to be part of World Mental Health Day and to raise awareness of such an important issue. For us, mental health isn’t just a one-day conversation – it’s a year-round commitment. We want everyone to know that help is available and that no one should feel alone.
Mental health is real. You might feel fine today, but tomorrow could be different. That’s why it’s so important to be open, understanding, and ready to support one another. If you or someone you know could benefit from our services, please reach out – we’d love to hear from you.”
Let’s break the silence together. This World Mental Health Day, remember: support is here, and it’s okay to talk. To find out more, visit www.ongo.co.uk/supporting-you
