Stoptober success: hundreds take steps toward a smoke-free future

In a partnership with Public Health England and North Lincolnshire Council, our Wellbeing Team has helped hundreds of people take control of their health during this year’s Stoptober campaign.

Stoptober is a national initiative that encourages smokers to quit throughout the month of October. Our team actively engaged with the community, visiting workplaces, hosting events, and offering support to colleagues and residents.

Throughout October:

  • 34 individuals signed up to four week support
  • 13 successful quitters
  • 73 individuals accessing swap to stop
  • 24 events delivered by the team

In total so far,

  • 271 individuals have signed up for support
  • 104 successful quitters
  • 480 individuals have accessed support

Donna, a local who signed up for support said, “I never thought I could quit, but the support I received was incredible. The team didn’t judge me – they just helped me every step of the way.”

Our Wellbeing Team offers:

  • Free Nicotine Replacement Products
  • 1-to-1 Support & Advice
  • A friendly, understanding team
  • No pressure—just support

Katie Herron, Community Wellbeing Coach said, “Whether you’re ready to quit or simply curious about your options, we’re here to help. No judgment, just encouragement.”
