We’re featured in Fabian Society publication showcasing housing associations’ impact
We’re proud to share that we have been featured as a case study in Beyond Numbers: Building Great Places to Live, a new publication from the Fabian Society.
This collection of nine essays explores how housing associations help to create thriving communities, not just homes, and we’re delighted to be recognised for the work we do.
In an essay by Catherine Ryder, Chief Executive of PlaceShapers, we are highlighted for the incredible impact of our Skills and Personal Development team and Ongo Recruitment. Together, they deliver training, career advice, and employment support, helping people move directly into work.
Also mentioned is Ongo Talk, our free, mental health counselling service, which ensures that those in need can access support without stigma or barriers.
This holistic approach. combining housing, skills, employment, and wellbeing helps hundreds of people each year by opening doors to opportunity and building confidence.
The Fabian Society is an independent think tank who publish insight, analysis and opinion; conduct research and undertake major policy inquiries; convene conferences, speaker meetings and roundtables; and facilitate member debate and activism across the UK.
Their Housing Centre is a major research and policy programme to help shape the implementation of the government’s housing strategy and the broader housing debate across the UK.
