As part of being an Ongo tenant, you’ll have a dedicated Neighbourhood Officer
Following a recent review shaped by tenant feedback, we have introduced a new role: Neighbourhood Officer. This position brings together the responsibilities of our former Tenancy Officers and Lettings Officers into one streamlined role, designed to deliver a more joined-up, responsive service for our tenants and communities.
Neighbourhood Officers are the key point of contact for tenants throughout their housing journey – from letting and sign-up, to ongoing tenancy support and neighbourhood engagement. Their role is to ensure homes are allocated fairly, tenancies are well-managed, and our estates remain safe, welcoming places to live.
Working closely with internal teams and external partners, Neighbourhood Officers tackle issues such as anti-social behaviour, tenancy breaches, and community sustainability. They also play a vital role in promoting customer engagement and supporting events that bring people together.
Our Neighbourhood Officers will be responsible for a number of neighbourhoods within one of our three regions – with each Officer being responsible for around 400 tenancies. Their role will see them out and about in their communities and they will be working with our tenants to ensure these neighbourhoods are places you’re happy and proud to live in.
This change reflects our commitment to putting tenants first, improving service delivery, and creating thriving neighbourhoods across our communities.

As well as a Neighbourhood Officer, you’ll also have an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer, Support Officer, Regional Managers and Neighbourhood Managers for your region.

Meet your Regional Manager – Jane
My vision for region three is to build thriving, connected communities by delivering personalised, responsive, and high-quality housing services that reflect the voices and needs of our tenants.
As the Regional Manager I am passionate in leading a team to build communities where tenants feel proud to live, a community with a real sense of belonging. By working closely with tenants in my region we aim to make meaningful, positive changes that improve the local area for everyone.
We want to hear from you, what matters to you most and what you’d like to see us focus on and how we can shape our services to better meet your needs.
This is just the beginning, putting this structure in place gives us the foundations to build on and myself and my team are excited to involve you even more as we move forward.
