Stop smoking with our help
Smoking remains the single biggest cause of preventable illness and death in the UK. Live longer, richer and quit today.
Our new project, in collaboration with North Lincolnshire Council, offers smokers living in North Lincolnshire who are over the age of 18 the tools and advice they need to give up the habit.
Those taking part will have access to support sessions, one-on-one advice over a four-week period, a range of free resources and Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) products.
This includes nicotine patches, inhalators and mouth sprays, along with rechargeable vapes and liquids.
Events across the region will also take place to engage with and educate local people on the risks associated with smoking.
Despite rates declining, there are nearly six million adults in England who still smoke, and this remains the single biggest cause of preventable illness and death.
About half of all life-long smokers will die early, losing on average about 10 years of life. Most smoking-related deaths arise from one of three types of disease: lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and coronary heart disease (CHD).
Treating illnesses associated with smoking costs the NHS an annual £2.4 billion, with the wider cost to society in England being approximately £17 billion a year.

On average, smokers have 20 cigarettes a day. The average cost of a pack of 20 is around £15.26, this totals £106.82 a week and £5,569 per year.
That’s a luxury holiday or weekly food shop for the whole year for a family of four, or even a new car.
Over 20 years, if cigarettes remained at their current price, you would spend £111,380. However, with the cost set to increase this will be a whole lot more. That’s a life changing amount of money.
Figures show that the lowest income group spend almost 30% of their income on tobacco, compared to 3.4% in the highest income smoking household.
