Support for your home
Free advice around saving money on utilities, benefits advice and energy vouchers based on eligibility*
*Eligibility being top up meters and card payments, not direct debit payments.
Providing free advice on addressing energy debt with funding grants available to write off up to £2,000 of utility debt.
Providing free utility advice and utility grants of up to £49 per household.
Tenants can access up to six vouchers per year worth £49 each.

We have the following funding options available, which, subject to criteria, you may be entitled to:
- Glasspool fund – funding to support people in financial hardship.Funding through this scheme aims to increase financial wellbeing and reduce distress by providing grants to ensure people get the support they need to make positive changes.
This could mean improving their financial position, living in a more settled home or feeling more able to manage their lives. 
- Tenancy Support offer – support offered to tenants who are considered vulnerable, and have no support from family, friends or external agencies.
 Support could include assistance with budgeting and accessing grants and funding, as well as signposting to extra support both within Ongo and with our partner agencies.

Subsidised food is available at the following locations:
- The Poirier Foundation, Winterton – every other Tuesday, transport provided if needed. Meets at the Trinity Methodist Church – call 01724 733441, £5 per head.
- Magic moments, Market Hill, Scunthorpe, free donations of food available (keep an eye on their Facebook page).
- The Forge Project, Methodist Church, Cottage Beck Road, Scunthorpe, has free donations outside the front of the building for the community.
- Scunthorpe Community Centre, Lindum street, Sunday lunches available and other meals daily, prices vary.
- Westcliff Community Centre, Newbolt Avenue, lunch and breakfast club available at low cost.

Wellbeing, health and support
We offer a range of support services for you and your family.
Our friendly counsellors will take time to listen to your issues and help develop your confidence, skills and wellbeing so you can move towards improving your life.
Our project, in collaboration with North Lincolnshire Council, offers smokers living in North Lincolnshire who are over the age of 18 the tools and advice they need to give up the habit.
We’re proud to offer free employment support. Support could include the following:
- Skills training
- Industry training
- Interview skills
- Volunteering work placements
- Confidence boosting sessions.
We offer employment support through a variety of ways, including training sessions, mentoring, clubs, days out, progression sessions, counselling and life coaching.
The Arc is our purpose-built community building in the heart of Westcliff, Scunthorpe, where you can come to for support, advice or guidance while catching up with friends in the café or taking part in one of the many activities.
The Arc also offers a winter warm space offer throughout winter. This includes a free hot drink and snacks from 3-4:30pm Tuesday to Friday.
The Arc is also a Food Bank voucher distributor.
The Viking Centre is a community centre and youth club based on Fairfield Drive in Barton. There’s also a café too.
